In Tuesday's issue of The North Texas Daily, we reported a story about student and faculty diversity on campus. Our reporter found a significant margin between white students and tenured faculty and those of other races. This brought up a few questions among the editorial board: primarily, is this a bad thing, and if so, what can be done to bring about change? Diversity is an important part of any college campus. Dear MySpace, We've been together a long time, a little more than three years now, and we've had a good run. You've let me edit the HTML coding on my own page so I can fully express myself as a person, nay, as an artist. You've helped me keep in touch with my family and members of my high school youth group who probably didn't need to know about every questionable event I planned to attend or "complicated" relationships on my Facebook news feed. I've been thinking a lot lately about song remakes and modern music. My boyfriend is a musician, so I get an earful about remakes all the time. We talk about how Fred Durst ruined The Who classic, "Behind Blue Eyes," and how that one band put a Black Flag sticker instead of a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac. (0) comments
Apparently, everyone on the Olympic committee thought Beijing was a great place to host the 2008 summer Olympics.
