    On April 25, "Flowers Do Grow in the City" will show for the first time at 6:30 p.m. in the NT Auditorium Building. The play is written and directed by NT sophomore Stevie Walker-Webb. He put on the play, "We Ain't The Huxtables," last year and sold out the Lyceum. (0) comments

    Students feeling the stress of upcoming finals may find some relief in the relaxing yet interesting, folk music of new band Port O'Brien The band's first album, All We Could Do Was Sing, provides just under a dozen tracks of thoughtful, intriguing music that are not easily placed in any traditional genre.     Tristan Prettyman's newest album Hello…X, which was released earlier this month, is a compilation of sincere, laid-back and melodic folk songs, which follows her 2005 debut album twentythree. Prettyman recorded this album in London with famous British producers Martin Terefe and Sacha Skarbek, who have worked with musical artists James Blunt and KT Tunstall, among others. (0) comments

    With the promise of tasty food, interesting works of art and more than 2,200 musicians, the 28th annual Denton Arts and Jazz Festival is back for the masses to enjoy. The two-and-a-half day event, starting today and ending Sunday, encourages audiences to bring their blankets and chairs to the festival, where six stages of fine art, diverse music, food courts and various games will be plentiful, according to the event's Web site.
