One of this summer's football camps is going to have a professional pedigree. The Jay Novacek football camp will be July 6 to 10 at Traditions Field. Dan Brown, former head athletic trainer and program director for Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, said players ages 7 through 18 can practice and have the chance to meet and train with NFL players, including former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek and former New York Giants cornerback Everson Walls. UNT recently announced new contracts with Southern Methodist University and Army to play several football games against the two schools over the next 20 years. Army and UNT will meet in 2009 and 2010 and four more times between 2016 and 2019. SMU agreed to four games between the 2014 and 2017 seasons with an option to extend the contract by as many as eight more games before 2025. (3) comments
