    NT professor lectures on Middle Eastern media strategies

    Eli Avraham of the communications faculty led a discussion about Middle Eastern techniques toward media and marketing strategies Wednesday in Wooten Hall to give NT students a better idea of what the industry is like in the region. (1) comment

    Late Friday nights, darkness and laughter fill the Clark Hall TV room, the only light coming from the television screen. But the residents are not watching a comedy. Every Friday, they watch some of the worst films ever made. "It's an idea that I came up with at the beginning of this academic year," said Joel Morales, a radio, television and film junior and Clark Hall resident assistant. (0) comments

    Michael Weaver began his venture into parapsychology as a child, seeing and hearing spirits in his childhood home. Weaver describes parapsychology as the experimental study of any kind of unusual experience that has no immediate or obvious explanation. The branch of study includes investigation of psychic phenomena, extrasensory perception and telepathy. (0) comments

    The women of the Rho Delta Chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. will host its 13th annual Ebony Man Scholarship Pageant from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m today in the Lyceum. Adrienne Edwards, a public relations junior and chairwoman for the event, said the pageant started in 1995 after the chapter was re-chartered on the NT campus. (0) comments

    Club fosters art appreciation

    In its inaugural semester, the Art History Society creates a community for art appreciation and art criticism. "A lot of other art schools have art history societies," said president and founder Erin Joyce, an art history sophomore. "I felt it was important for students, not just art students, to experience art exhibits and discuss art as a group. (0) comments

    Students like English freshman Autumn Christian won't just be doing homework through the month of November; she and about 30 other students will be striving to write a 50,000-word novel. Nov. 1 marks the first day of National Novel Writing Month - commonly referred to as NaNoWriMo - which is a nationwide event designed to encourage writers to write 50,000-word fiction novels by midnight on Nov.
