Denton County continues to have some of the most foreclosures of any county in Texas with a 246 percent increase in postings from last year according to recent data. There have been 243 combined home and business foreclosures in the city of Denton so far this year according to data compiled by the Addison-based Foreclosure Listing Service Incorporated. With 59 years of combined NT music experience, two vocal music faculty members will retire this year. Henry Gibbons Henry Gibbons is the associate director of choral studies and chairman of the division of conducting and ensembles. In his 29 years at NT, he lists Texas Music Educators Associations concerts with NT's A Cappella Choir, a performance of the Bach B-minor mass combining "Canticum novum" and the Denton Bach Society choir and orchestra among his favorite memories. The Texas Senate passed a bill Wednesday that calls for NT to host the only public law school in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2011. Yesterday an agreement between NT and the University of Magallanes in Chile was signed to consolidate a partnership between the two universities. NT president Gretchen Bataille and Victor Fajardo, rector of the Chilean university, signed the addendum to a Memorandum of Agreement. (0) comments
