Only at a Bruce Hall's annual Bruce Jam Concert can you see a guy in his underwear making a 'brief appearance' and another couple crooning its rendition of Disney's "A Whole New World." Yesterday, from noon to midnight, Bruce Hall's main lobby was harmoniously filled with music of all sorts, from trombones bellowing Christmas cheer to chaotic performance rock. Bruce Jam has become one of the most celebrated and popular traditions coordinated by the Bruce Hall Association.
"This is a music dorm and people play music all the time, so we just decided to make a program out of it," said Danielle Beringer, association secretary and coordinator of the event. Normally, the concert gives 50 minutes of center stage solely for 12 musical talents consisting of the dorm's residents. But this year, the association decided to open up the opportunity to all NT students.
Headlining this year was The Alexander and The Undoing of David Wright.
We always do it before finals because it's a great way to unwind, just sit back, listen to music and have a good time," Beringer said.
