For those of you who feel like a little variety in your standard Saturday drinking patterns, you might want to consider the "Great Shiner Bocktoberfest Music Junket" taking place this Saturday in, you guessed it, Shiner, Texas.
The 12th annual event, which is billed as "the largest one-day, outdoor music festival," in Texas, is sure to garner a decent turnout (more than 20,000 people showed up last year).
Situated 90 miles from Houston, San Antonio and Austin, this year's show will feature headliners Audioslave as well as performances by Clint Black, Seether and perennial MTV favorites Good Charlotte.
Parking is free, beer will be ample and flowing and the show runs from noon onwards. Tickets are available through www.shiner.com and cost $48.50.
