Move over Austin, MTV will be having a casting call in Dallas this weekend.
An "Aeon Flux" movie special and premiere of the new video game is being filmed for the MTV show, "Movie House."
Participants will receive a chance to play the game weeks before it comes out and will have the chance to be interviewed about the movie and the original TV show.
"Sci-fi movie lovers can test the new video game and be featured on MTV," said Michael Petolino, MTV casting representative.
Based on the MTV animated series by Peter Chung, the film is set 400 years in the future in a "perfect" society governed by a totalitarian regime. A top underground operative, Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron) leads a rebellion that will send the seemingly utopian society to ruins.
In the MTV series, almost all plot lines rely on physical action with little dialogue.
Aeon dies at the end of every episode in the second season of the show, defying conventionality.
In the third season, Aeon and Trevor Goodchild, the only character to reoccur in all three seasons and Aeon's nemesis in the movie, begin to have dialogue.
MTV is looking to cast people from 17 to 26 years old with fun and energetic personalities.
The filming is Saturday at the Arlington Convention Center.
To apply, send an e-mail to vegascasting@mtvstaff.com and include your name, age, phone number, address, a picture and why you want to be a part of the shoot.
