President Gretchen Bataille invited NT faculty and staff to eat a continental breakfast in the University Union's Silver Eagle Suite yesterday while she discussed NT's academic achievements over the past year. The ceremony celebrated the beginning of the fall semester and introduced the continuing programs NT will sponsor. One of these events is the Emerald Ball, which is used to raise money for the Emerald Eagle Scholars Program. Some of the recent achievements Bataille announced were the Hazel Harvey Peace Professorship, the Emerald Eagle Scholars Program and NT's growing international partnerships. Bataille also recognized some of NT's faculty and staff who received awards in their department.
