Charges filed in Kansas for deaths of ex-wife, girl

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) - A man accused of fatally shooting his pregnant ex-wife and her 8-month-old daughter was charged Tuesday with three counts of murder, prosecutors said.?
Andrew Anthony Guerrero, 23, was charged with capital murder in the death of Nicolette Lyons-Reed, murder in the death of her 8-month-old daughter, Leah Lyons-Reed, and murder in the death of the woman's fetus, Wyandotte County prosecutor Jerome A. Gorman said. Lyons-Reed, also 23, was in her first trimester, he said.
?Guerrero could face the death penalty if convicted of capital murder. He was previously charged with burglary and aggravated interference with parental custody, Gorman said.??
Guerrero remained jailed in Denton on $10 million bond, Gorman said. He waived his extradition hearing before the murder charges were filed but could request another now, Gorman said.?
It was not immediately clear whether Guerrero had an attorney. Police in Kansas City did not know whether Guerrero had an attorney, and the Wyandotte County prosecutors office did not immediately respond to an after-hours phone message.?
