A resident assistant at Mozart Square Hall Thursday found a dead student alone in his room, UNT spokesman Buddy Price said.

An investigation is ongoing, Price said.

Andrew Vahlenkamp, a history education senior who lives near Mozart, said he was driving near the dorm at 5:30 p.m. when he saw that it had been closed by police and helicopters were flying overhead.

Mozart Square Hall is on the south side of the campus near the Gateway Center.
