Starring Robert de Niro, Al Pacino, 50 Cent.
Directed by Jon Avnet.
Twelve years after their teamup in "Heat," the two legendary actors reunite as New York cops investigating a series of killings of some seriously bad dudes.
(Cinemark Denton, Cinemark Vista Ridge Mall, AMC Highland Village, Denton Movie Tavern)
"The Women"
Starring Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Jada Pinkett Smith, Eva Mendes, Debra Messing.
Directed by Diane English.
The original was part of the canon of amazing movies from 1939. This "reimagining" follows the same guideline: no men in the cast whatsoever. But that's basically where the similarities end. Diane English, creator of "Murphy Brown" (geez, how long ago was that?), directs a cast that can't hold a candle to the original.
(Cinemark Denton, Cinemark Vista Ridge Mall, AMC Highland Village, Denton Movie Tavern)
"The Family That Preys"
Starring Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard, Sanaa Lathan, Taraji P. Henderson, Cole Hauser.
Directed by Tyler Perry.
Tyler Perry's latest melodramatic fable, this one without Madea, tells the story of two warring families who tear each other apart through deception, affairs, and greed.
(Cinemark Denton, Cinemark Vista Ridge Mall, AMC Highland Village)
