    Grammy Award-winning Stanley Clarke plucks, strums and claws his bass guitar during a solo Friday night at the Denton Arts and Jazz Festival. At least 200,000 people arrive at Quakertown Park each year for the weekend-long music fest and this year event organizers saw massive crowds of families and friends chomping on turkey legs and tapping their feet to more than a hundred bands across five stages, culminating in a performance from Denton band Brave Combo.

    Looks like I didn't miss much by not going to see old Stanley.

    S.C. achieved his zenith with Chick Corea's Return to Forever band in the 70's. Everything else after that has been miniscule and mediocre. (Continued…)
